If you think an opencast mine in Llwydcoed will affect your life, now is the time to get involved. Celtic Energy has applied for permission for an opencast mining site just above the village of Llwydcoed and opposition to the application has to be heard DURING the planning review period. The application was submitted on May 1st 2013 and the consultation period is anticipated to run until September 2013.
Objections MUST be voiced during this time period!
We want to send the message that the detrimental effects of an opencast mine site far outweigh any potential benefits proposed by the company. The only real benefit is financial profit and the only ones to profit from this site are Celtic Energy, NOT the people of Llwydcoed or surrounding communities. Click on the pages under the 'GET INVOLVED' tab above for ways to make your voice heard.
